Finally Friday

Wow, this week flew by, I cannot believe it is Friday already and the crop is tomorrow. I hope everyone had a great week and has an even better week-end. Now for some scrappy goodness. I found Pinterest a few weeks  ago. And although I was sceptical to get involved for fear of addiction I have survived. I even go days without checking in.  Well I have found quite a few cards and layouts that I have loved. so here are 2. O.k. so after 5 minutes and 5 so and so via so and so links through Pinterest I still cannot find the original poster for this layout, so credit where credit is due....not happening this time. Here is the original layout and my version of it. I want to do a girl version of it now. My challenge for you this week is to do a layout with squares. And for good measure, throw in a scrap lifted card as well.

Tuesday's Temptations-Love Beyond Measure

Happy Valentines Day my scrappy peeps... this week "Varyscrappy" wanted to do a layout with this months SB kit With the Echo Park Yours Truly Line...here is what she said.

I found this layout while surfing Pinterest, so I went to the blog that it was on and simply fell in love with it. Here it is on Bliss, it was part of the Echo Park Paper & Epiphany Crafts blog hop.

I choose to do this as I find the pattern papers a little overwhelming Undecided , but if they are cut up not so much Thumbs Up . Mine is just slightly different as I didn't put the journalling around the perimeter and I matted my pattern paper with hot pink cardstock. Thank you Linda for the inspiration
 Kiss

Can't wait to see your versions of this layout

Isn't this beautiful

Finally Friday

Well I am a bad host...here it is Friday and I am not even remotely prepared for this weeks challenge. I have not had the scrappy bug since last week-end. I have been scoping out the internet for layout and card ideas, and I have seen a lot of things that I love and am going to try out, but so far...nothing. I did however go to a Stampin Up card club with fellow Scraptures member and friend Lucy Girl. She showed us 3 really cute cards. This one is using our own finger prints. She gave us a template with 3 hearts cut out of it and then we inked our finger and put the print into the template to create the heart. The ink colour, background paper and bakers twine is Cherry Cobbler. Let's see a card from your heart

Tuesdays Temptations

This week I chose to do a layout using a sheet of the Colour Me resist papers that came with this months SB kit. I chose the Swirls paper and coloured it all with the Rocket Red ink by Tsukineko, then rubbed off the excess to expose the resist. I used a piece of Bazzill Pepper CS and then layered on a strip of the Hugs & Kisses and then cut 1.5 " circles from the  Awning Stripe PP. I matted the photo onto hot pink CS and then onto the Smitten PP. I wanted to show off as much of the Colour Me paper so I only used 1 small photo and tried to position everything to one side to expose as much of the background paper as possible. Let's see what you can do with one of the Colour Me papers.

Finally Friday

This month has flown by and I can hardly believe it is the first Friday in February. I wanted to show you something I came across here

I thought these book marks were uber cute. So I mad a few. I used a sheet of PP from the Love Letters 6x6 paper pack from the card kit. I used a piece of the Hugs and Kisses paper form the SB kit and a piece of paper from my DCWV Generation Tech stack. I am going to make a few more and I will have super sweet gifts for my nieces and nephews for Valentines Day. Here is what I have done so far.

Tuesday's Temptations

Well January has come to an end and so have the papers from January's Simple Stories Line. I think I only have a few scraps and buttons left. I truly loved this kit. I also found the left overs from the Life Documented Line form last year. They obviously matched. So while snooping for layouts on the Simple Stories website I saw a layout and scrap lifted it. I used the base paper from last years kit and all the scraps from this months kit. I did not know what picture I was going to use but I loved the layout. My challenge for you is to use your scraps and a 5 x 7 picture for this weeks layout, and use this layout as a sketch for your layout. What can you come up with?

Finally Friday

This week I chose to do something a little different. I am doing a baby album for a friend who had a second daughter. I did one for her first child and need to get going on this one. So I was googling scrapbook images and came across this cute layout from
http://scrappindanielle.blogspot.com/2010/09/scrapbook-layouts-that-celebrate.html

I changed the title but love the way it turned out, I left a spot for a 4x6 picture. Some of  my inspiration also came from T's "The Man I Love" challenge at the crop last week.  So, my challenge for this weeks layout is for you to create some kind of shape on your layout with buttons, brads or eyelettes.
