Unconventional use of Fall....

Good day to all my fellow scrappers and peeps alike. I chose a sketch from 52 Sketches this week and then went to work. I used the October Scrapbook line from Scraptures which for all intense and purposes is a fall line. But I used it for a summer layout. I took this picture on October 9th, the Sunday of Thanksgiving week-end but you would never know it by the sun and warm temperatures. So here is the sketch and the layout. I inked the letters for the word title at the bottom using my new blending tool and  a Certainly Celery SU ink spot, the letters were yellow and needed some darkening to show on the Bazzill Sunflower paper.

Sorry fo rthe quality of the pic, BF borrowed my camera so I used my phone, will change pic out on the weekend. Have a great week-end.

October 26th-Wally's Leaf challenge

Ok everyone send Wally get well wishes, she is sick and so I am posting this for her. She struggled with how to use this paper and tried several ideas on matting the picture. After help from varyscrappy she decided to use the leaves and the Shimmer Mist to surround the picture. I loved all the leaves this month. Great job Wally!

Awesome picture!

Finally Friday October 21st

Well this week I chose not to work from a sketch, but rather scraplift something from the gallery. Pajama Scrapper had uploaded a layout she did with this months kit, and I loved it. So..... I copied it. Almost exactly. So here is her layout followed by mine. What do you think, it is great right? So for this week's challenge I want you to scraplift someones layout. Be sure to show us what the original looked like as well as your version.

Impromptu Challenge

From our good friend T-"I'm just cruising through Englehart, Ontario when this idea popped into my head.

October is Breast Cancer Awareness month. I'm sure you all know how important this cause is to me
My challenge for you is to do a pink girly layout. Pretty simple so let's get our PINK on!!!"
( since I'm not home I obviously can't do one yet, but I will when I get home)

I was all over this last night, I am playing catch up with some pictures so this was a great idea.

Finally Friday October 14th

Well besides it being a rainy Friday, and my 40th birthday it is another cute and easy sketch day from Scrapbooks etc. I love all the quick and easy sketches lately. It really helps when you are trying to play catch up with 6 years of picture. I did not use the kit for this one as it is not really a fall color kind of pictures, but the scraps and sticker border are from past basic grey kits. Lovin' the grey and bold colors. What do you think?

Layer it!

I had fun with this month's kit as well as the embellishments. I layered the PP onto the CS and added 2 of the leaves (I removed the spines off all the leaves, pull slowly to avoid ripping the leaf) and then added some ribbon, a brad  and a die cut. I love the way this one turned out. Let's see you layer a card and if you do not have the kit, show us something layered you would not have otherwise used on a card.
