Tuesday's Temptations

Well January has come to an end and so have the papers from January's Simple Stories Line. I think I only have a few scraps and buttons left. I truly loved this kit. I also found the left overs from the Life Documented Line form last year. They obviously matched. So while snooping for layouts on the Simple Stories website I saw a layout and scrap lifted it. I used the base paper from last years kit and all the scraps from this months kit. I did not know what picture I was going to use but I loved the layout. My challenge for you is to use your scraps and a 5 x 7 picture for this weeks layout, and use this layout as a sketch for your layout. What can you come up with?

Finally Friday

This week I chose to do something a little different. I am doing a baby album for a friend who had a second daughter. I did one for her first child and need to get going on this one. So I was googling scrapbook images and came across this cute layout from

I changed the title but love the way it turned out, I left a spot for a 4x6 picture. Some of  my inspiration also came from T's "The Man I Love" challenge at the crop last week.  So, my challenge for this weeks layout is for you to create some kind of shape on your layout with buttons, brads or eyelettes.

Tuesday's Temptations

This week I found a picture of my daughter in gr. 2 that I have loved for a long time, but never used. I was searching for inspiration for the Simple Life Year-o-Graphy line when I came across a layout on the Scrapbook.com gallery. Finally Friday

Well I left it to the last minute this week so I decided to do a card instead. Also seeing as I posted the layout I had forgot I was going to use. So I found Sketch #47 over at Cardabilities after poking around on Chelles blog yesterday. I liked it and was going to use it this week-end, but fate had other things in mind so here it is. I used the Jan. Artsylicious line from Chatterbox and changed the colour of the flower to black and then used silver SU embossing powder. I also added 1 of the BB Enchanted brads. Inside will say "thinking of you" or "Thanks" What would you do with the sketch?

Tuesday's Temptations

This week is Double the Fun. I wanted to scrap a mother daughter memory, even though I don't love the picture I know I need to preserve the memory. I used this months Year-o-Graphy kit and wanted to maximize the usage of my PP. So I cut a few strips from the Everyday Life and Capture this Moment sheet and then cut out the sentiment circles from the Life Snippets sheet. I added a few word stickers to show the feelings without having to journal on this layout. Do you think it portrays the fun we had that day? My challenge this week is to use 2 of the same or similar photo's from a day or event.

Finally Friday

Woohoo, Friday the 13th. Are you superstitious? I don't think I am, I will walk under a ladder, cross a black cat, even put up an umbrella in the house. Does not really bother me. Some people are though. Anyway....I was surfing around the Pagemaps website and found this sketch. I was looking for something that would compliment the 5 x 7 photo I had of Breanna. I used some of the paper from January's Card Kit-Chatterbox Artsylicious Line. I also used  some of the Bo Bunny Enchanted embellishments. I bought a couple of the papers from the Enchanted Line when I was at the Nook this past week-end. Here is my layout based on the sketch. Let's see your take on it.

Tuesday's Temptations

This week is an easy one again. I found these pictures of my nieces and nephew on my brothers Facebook album and I knew I had to scrap them.They are so cute! I am still loving this months SB kit by Simple Stories. I had a hard time cutting the PP for this layout but eventually I did. I am lovin' both sides of this paper. So here goes, I scrap-lifted this layout from the Simple Stories blog but decided to change it to a summer layout rather than a winter one. So my challenge for you this week is to only use the kit for your layout. Everything is from the kit, paper, stickers, flowers... all 1 line. If you do not subscribe to the kit my challenge is to try to only use 1 line of whatever you have. I am sure we all have some stuff stored away. A double sided paper will do for most of your back ground papers, and you can even make embellishments out of it. Show us your creative genius, and let's see what you can do.

January On-line Crop

Come one come all, Scraptures is having their first 2012 on-line crop on January  20-22. The theme is Oldies but Goodies and we are referencing Movie Titles. So grab you paper, scissors and some old pictures that you have not gotten around to yet, and join us for some games, challenges and scrappy goodness. The excitement starts on Friday January 20th at 4 pm and runs until Sunday January 22nd at 4pm. You will have until Wednesday January 25th at 9 pm to get  your challenges uploaded. Well, my first FF of the New Year. I hope everyone is all cleaned up from the Holidays and ready to get back into scrapping. I found a sketch over at 52 Sketches 52 Weeks and as soon as I saw it I knew the pictures I wanted to use. I used the December Card Kit-Theresa Collins Christmas Home and I love the red Zing embossing powder. But as Chelle said last month, heat it longer than you would normally as you cannot tell if it is dry. Let's see your take on this sketch!

Good day fellow scrappers....I have thoroughly enjoyed looking through this month's scrapbook kit Year-O-Graphy by Simple Stories...I love the warm colours and all the stickers and embellishments that co-ordinate with it. I decided to start off simple for the New Year and do a 1 photo layout. It also showcases the paper better. My challenge is for you to choose your favourite or a favourite picture from the holidays and scrap it. All the paper and embellishments express the importance of this photo. Memories, family, December....Love it!
