Week 4 August Challenge - TAG YOU'RE IT!

This week I thought I'd challenge you to use tags on your layouts. I rarely use tags, no idea why , I just don't bother but thought it would be fun to see how many different ways tags can be used.

Here's my example, and I used tags to decorate the background around the picture.

Week 3 August Challenge - Dream WEAVEr

How are the August challenges coming?

I hope you are enjoying them.

This week's challenge comes to you from a layout I saw in the Spring issue of Scrapbooks & Cards Today. As I was leafing through it, I noticed a layout on page 48 that has a basket weave on it. I love the look so I thought it would be cool if I challenged you to add a weave to your layout.

Here's my example using the August Kit.

The funky colours are so fun, and perfect for a couple of teenage girls trying to set up a tent

August 10th Challenge -Sorry its late!!

This is the August 10th Weekely Challenge

Your challenge this week is to create your entire layout on an angle...every single element you use (except your background piece) must be on an angle. We are all creatures of habit and I know for myself, I tend to stick everything on my layouts perfectly straight.

Everything used is from the August Scrapbook Kit except the turquoise stickles in the flower centers.

The First August Challenge Is Up!!!

BORDER BLISS!!!!!

Your challenge this week is to create the majority of your layout in the center of your page, leaving a 'white space' border around it.

August Kit Reveal~~~

This months kits are full of such wonderful colours, the inspiration you feel when you look at these kits is phenomenal!!

The scrapbook kit is by Bo Bunny and it's called Block Party.

This one is Denise's...The colours are perfect for the pictures she's chose

This wonderful layout was created by our Guess ST member Kelly...the colours match perfectly and I love the 'frame' she's made with the journal box

This layout was created by Wally..again the colours are just perfect for the picture she's chosen

The card k it this month is by WRMK(We R Memory Keepers) and is called Vintage Blue.

Our card maker extraordinaire Ellen has once again made beautiful cards with this kit.

I love the different colours she's used here, anyone would be lucky to receive this card~

This card just screams fun with all the circles....

Wow, July just flew by..funny how summer tends to just go by so quickly~

There is lots going on at Scrap~tures in August to keep you very busy...

First..let's welcome Kelly as our new guest designer. She's been a great motivator in the forums for helping to keep us all going with our scrappy projects. Hopefully Lisa will stick with us and keep us going with her scrappy skills. You can continue to check out Lisa's work on her blog, listed to the right as well.

Every month, we have a MYSTERY challenge. What that means is that one of the team's challenges is chosen as the MYSTERY challenge...but it's not revealed which challenge it is. At the end of the month, a name is drawn from all those that completed the challenge and then it's revealed which ST challenge was the MYSTERY challenge. The only way to be sure that you'll be included in the draw for some goodies is to complete all the challenges~!~
