Birthday Crop - PRE CROP Challenge
The 'modern' gift for a 20th Anniversary is PLATINUM. Platinum is very similar to silver in looks. I have used Creative Sketches sketch # 20 for my layout. I have also used quite a few 'platinum' embellishments. In total, I have 45 on my layout as well as the ribbon and 'platinum' stickles on the blossoms.
I want to see you do a layout or card using this sketch and using a minimum of 20 platinum embellishments on your project!!
Can't wait to see what you create!
Have fun!

January 15th Challenge & Tutorial
This tutorial is brought to you by Kristine!!!!
I call them Twine Curlies you can call them whatever you wish!
very simple to make and add so much "cuteness" to any card or layout
you need :
a pencil, chop stick or I use my Basic Grey File
a button
about 8 inches or so of twine
hairspray
hairdryer or heat gun (i have never used a heat gun on this)
****************
simply tie a knot with your twine on your button or embellishment
curl your twine on your chop stick, your file or anything thin and round
- the tighter, the better
spray with hairspray
then dry with your hairdryer - let sit for a minute or two and slowly slide off your tool
It's really easy ... remember to have fun with it..
and i'd love to see a layout or card using this technique ;-)

January 13th Challenge
My challenge to you is to use ribbon, or any other kind of fabric to create something unique on your project. Such as Dorrie did here with the lacy ribbon and created the wonderful skirt. How cool is that?
Have fun!

January 12th Challenge!
I used pearl I-Rock gems around my frame and of course the coloured gems in the swirls.
Have fun!!
Don't forget to leave us a link to your creations!
January 11th Challenge
Today's challenge is brought to you by Kristine!
The anniversary calendar indicates the 11th anniversary to have Fashion Accessories!
this is a project i created and it's perfect for an accessory!
This bag I created a few weeks ago as I participated in a class hosted by Donna Downey.
It is quite simple and SOOO Much fun. It's very messy but once you are finished ... it's a great project to have for yourself or give as a gift.
I added acrylic paint watered down, a little glimmer mist on the entire project-- in a turquoise green color,
lots of prima flowers, bling and voila! A new tote bag...
The adhesive i used for my flowers and leaves are fabric glue
and the bling is already self adhesive.
it's a project that i haven't taken outside yet to see if the color would fade or even drip and create a nice big mess... but i do love it as a display
and plan on creating another soon..
i think it's too cute to use ... so i have it hanging in my scrap room!
it's pretty large at about 12" wide and 14" high

January Kit Reveal!!!!!!!!!
The contents of this kit are as follows:
2 sheets each of Bazzill Glitz, Grannysmith and Raven
Well.. today my challenge for you is to use it! ;-)
Yup... instead of spraying with the bottle... use something else such as a toothbrush, a paint brush the end of your sprayer... anything other than just a simple spray!
For my layout... instead of spraying glimmer mist on my page.. i took out the spray nozzle
and flicked my " let's call it a straw " cause i'm at a blank right now...
so by flicking my straw it created this paint splat on my page..
I also did this with the Glimmer Glaze that is included in this month's kit.. SO MUCH FUN!
this was my first time using Glaze and I LOVE IT! Seriously..
i found that it didn't go thru my paper like glimmer mist does, and it also gave me more of a clump than a spray... and it's shinny! LOVE IT!! ;-) I'll have to add some of this to my stash me thinks!!
In this layout.. called Everyday - you can see the pale glimmer mist... and then the darker one is the Glimmer Glaze.
see the difference?
so.. have fun and make a mess ;-)
Kelly's January 10th KIT CHALLENGE is
Ladies.... let's get serious now... have you LOOKED at this kit? Have you SEEN all the yummy papers? From the reveal (which you will have to sign into our gallery to see the rest of ) you may have noted that I used several on almost every page I did. I couldn't help myself! My challenge to you is to use more than THREE of the patterned papers on a layout. Three or more will earn you one entry into the prize... but wait, there's more!
I also love to sew! If you put some stitching on your layout (note: the stitched die cut in your kit is inspiration but doesn't count as your stitching) whether it's machine, doodled or hand stitching - you will earn a second entry! Yes, two entries for the price of one layout or card!
Let's see what you've got! Happy Scrapping!
The January Card Kit is by

This beautiful card was made by Laura-Lee(DoubleL) our guest ST this month
Laura-Lee's January 10th KIT CHALLENGE is
The 10th anniversary gift is tin or diamonds. For this kit challenge I created a card with scraps and diamonds!
The January card kit has such beautiful pattern papers and matching embellishments you will want to create as many unique cards as you can with it. I made 8 cards and when I was left with only scraps I knew I could still do something with them. The pattern papers are all so unique and pretty so when you get to the end you can whip up another card with your scraps!
With all those gorgeous little pieces from the kit papers I took my Martha Stewart butterfly punch and punched out several butterflies then added a diamond on each butterfly. Easy peasy and a very simple design....lift if you wish! Bling is a girls best friend just like diamonds.
For this kit challenge use diamonds with your January card kit!
These creations are absolutely stunning, but there is much more to be seen.
If you aren't a member of our gallery, you really must become one to see what else these ladies have done with these kits!

January 9th Challenge
When I relate leather to scrapbooking, there is so much you can use to create the leather look on your projects. One of the best ways is to use grunge board! You can distress it, paint it, sand it, whatever you choose, the outcome is always fantastic! Grunge board adds wonderful texture to your projects.
My challenge to you is to use grunge board on your project and dirty it up however you wish to come up with that fabulous leather look.
Wally created this gorgeous layout using grunge board letters sprayed with spritz spray.

Don't forget to leave us a link to your own project!
January 8th Challenge
The anniversay gift for the 8th is linen and lace. Today's challenge is to use linen or lace on a card, very simple. If you received your kit already there is some beautiful lace ribbon it there, so pretty.
This card was created using the packaging from Prima flowers, it's a perfect image of lace so I cut the top off and used it on top of some cardstock and added a very simple happy birthday. The flower fills the void on the lace image perfectly.
Lets see what you can come up with!

January 7th Challenge
The Table of Traditional and Modern Anniversary Gifts indicates that the 7th Anniversary could be a Desk Set or Wool and Copper. I selected the option of a Desk Set! I love stationary items
and a calendar to start off 2011 was perfect!!!

I've added the instructions in a PDF format for you to download as you wish and use it to create your own desktop calendar
It's easy and takes about 30-45 minutes or less ;-)
Please make sure you share your projects with us ... I'd love to see them!

January 6th Challenge
For this project I bought a shadow box frame from Dollarama (gotta love that place) and then painted it white with craft paint. I cut pattern paper from BoBunny's last years winter release and covered the frame. I printed a black and white photo of my kids at Christmas time and used more pattern papers to create the snowflakes (marvy punch) I also use the Avon acrylic snowflakes and the really pretty blue snow flakes are from my secret santa gift from Chelle (love those btw Chelle!)
Have fun with wood!

January 4th Challenge
Four is my favourite number so I got thinking about what is my favourite appliance and of course it is my Keurig. It is one of the best inventions in the world, with a few simple steps I have fresh hot coffee, tea, hot chocolate, hot apple cider and of course even ice tea WOW. I also picked a sketch from Creative Scrappers. Not because of the number it is but because there are 4 little pictures in keeping with the number 4,
My Challenge to you is to create a layout with using your favourite appliance and there has to be a spot where there is a collection of 4 photos..

Once you have completed this challenge, comment with a link below to be eligible for the contest.
January 3rd Challenge

January 2nd Challenge
"Cotton- Clothing is an evident choice for this anniversary. Either buy your spouse something beautiful to wear, or surprise them by dressing yourself up for a night out. "
So when I think of cotton (maybe it's just the time of year) but I think of Santa's hat! All that pure white fluffiness. Since Santa only dresses himself up in his fluffy hat once a year, I would like to see a layout created with either Santa himself, or someone in a Santa hat!
Have fun!

Add your link to Mr. Linky below to be eligible for the draw!!
January 1st Challenge!
Since the 1st anniversary gift suggestion is paper or clock, I thought it would be fun to do something centered around time for this challenge. I found this layout in the gallery which was created by Nannyscraps. I love her use of the clock and especially the tittle, "One Moment In Time" So my challenge for you is to create a layout with that title!
Here is Nannyscrap's beautiful layout...
